Idea for the Weekend: Go on a Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt

This weekend, plan a scavenger hunt in your own neighborhood. The night before, make a list of all the things your children need to look for. They can include:

• A dog
• A cat
• A bicycle
• A street sign
• A house with an attached garage
• A squirrel
• Swing set
• A blue car
• A fire hydrant
• Something that begins with the letter “T”
• A fenced-in yard
• Someone washing their car
• Someone out walking
• A rocking chair
• Someone walking their dog

Type of the list and make a copy for each person. Then walk around the neighborhood together and see how many you can find!
