This weekend, head out at dawn or dusk to an area without much light pollution and watch the sky. Mostly likely, within 15 minutes you’ll catch sight of one of the more than 35,000 satellites orbiting the earth. Some are active satellites, though many are just space junk. They appear to be stars moving silently across the sky.

For more information on how to spot a satellite, check out this how-to guide on AstroGuyz.com.
